Norway is a member of the European Economic Area but not of the European Union. NO 922 260 443 MVA is a Norwegian merverdiavgift (MVA) registration held in the Norwegian VAT register, not an EU VAT number. It will not validate in the EU VIES system, which covers member states only — that is expected and is not a defect. It can be confirmed through Enhetsregisteret, which records whether an entity is entered in the VAT register.
An enkeltpersonforetak is not a separate legal person. The proprietor is personally liable for the obligations of the business, and there is no share capital. This form is also not entered in the Business Enterprise Register (Foretaksregisteret) unless it trades goods or employs staff — this one is not, and the record above says so rather than leaving it to be assumed.
